Wednesday, February 4th, 2010 was a night to remember for 16 very talented Park View students. Their stunning artwork was chosen for the 2010 Junior High Art Show at Niles West High School. This gala event included a gallery exhibit, tours of the art studios, and an awards assembly in the auditorium. It was an evening to celebrate art and to get local junior high students excited for their future art facilities, staff, and future art endeavors at the high school. Congratulations Park View artists!

In 6th grade music encore, the students created their own musicals based on a program or story from the Romantic era. They performed their musicals using props, classroom instruments, spotlights, and even scenery using the EnoBoard. Seventh grade musicians were given the task to recreate their favorite tune and perform it as a Rock Band. Some learned how to play new instruments in just a couple of days, some learned how to work together as a group to create great ideas, some learned a new song, some discovered they are clever lyricists, and some learned to tough it through a performance even when working outside their comfort zones. Everyone was part of the learning process while they were working on their Rock Band projects.
